The BLACKSTOCK Family

About our Biz...
Thank you for visiting our blog!  We are excited to hear from you and would love to create a cutom canvas for your home!  This journey began back in 2009, when Laura and Angie began creating prints for their individual homes, and then making gifts for friends.  Our custom canvas catalog was then expanded into photo canvases as well, and we've been creating ever since.  What began as a simple stay-at-home business, then blossomed into a ministry and fundraising opportunity for the McCuiston family and their Ethiopian adoption.

What a blessing it has been to watch the Lord multiply his provision and safeguard this process for our family!  We anxiously and prayerfully await the arrival of this precious child, and ask for you to join us in praying for that transition.  Adoption is difficult, and it is the result of brokenness, but we pray that the McCuistons are being used as a tool of God's redemption in this child's life and story.  To Him be the glory!!

About our Fam...

We grew up in the Dallas area, as children #4 and #5 in a crazy, awesome, hilarious family.  All five of our original sibilings still live in this area and we remain very close.  We both graduated from Abilene Christian University and went on to teach in the public school system thereafter.  Angie earned her ESL certification, and as He could only orchestrate, was assigned to a school where many children who were originally from the Sudan were attending.  She was pleased to work with these preicous ones, and God used this time to grow her heart and prepare it for their current adoption.  Laura worked as a fifth grade teacher for 3 years, and then went on to law school at SMU.  Both of us had our first children only four weeks apart and they are as close as any two cousins could be! Two more kids for each of us and a few years later, Angie is a full-time, extremely busy mom and WOYH manager, and Laura is juggling her roles as wife, mom, professional, and WOYH designer!!  It's a really busy life, but a full and blessed one as well!
